Start once you have a date and venue
Check availability when your wedding date and venue are confirmed, especially if you have a particular entertainment team in mind. There is no single booking deadline that fits every wedding. Availability depends on the date, the provider and the event requirements.
For a short planning timeline, ask what is available rather than assuming the date is already taken. Share the venue, approximate guest count and parts of the day that need music.
Ask who will perform and how planning works
Find out who will be your DJ and MC, how you will share song choices and who your contact will be before the day. Ask how introductions, names and the timeline will be reviewed. Discuss your preferred hosting style as well as your favorite music.
Look at real event photos and customer feedback. They can help you understand the provider’s work, but have a direct conversation about the experience you want.
Compare the same services
- How many performance hours are included?
- Is ceremony sound included or an extra option?
- Which microphones and lighting are provided?
- Does the venue layout require more than one sound setup?
- How are additional time and photo booth options handled?
- What happens if there is an equipment problem or the performer is unavailable?
Ask for answers in writing and review the package and contract. A lower starting price may describe a different service or number of hours.
